3-Way 2-Position Hydraulic Valves

3-way valves have 3 ports: Pressure (P), Tank (T), and Advance (A). The 2 positions are used to control the advance and retract of the tool or cylinder. When a hold position is needed you should choose a valve with an additional 3rd position. 3-way valves are designed to operate single-acting hydraulic tools. Single-Acting tools and cylinders require at least a 3-way valve, and can, under certain instances, be operated with a 4-way valve.
