Simplex RAS Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinders are lighter and more portable than steel equivalents and offer the versatility for general purpose applications.
Model: RAS5010B   |  ECCN: EAR99    |   Harmonization: 8412210075
Series: RAS   |  Product Line: Hydraulic Tools

Simplex RAS Series Aluminum Hydraulic Cylinders are manufactured from solid high-strength alloy steel and include a powerful pre-tensioned spring for quick retraction.

With its robust aluminum body, RAS Cylinders are approximately half the weight of steel equivalents, and combine enhanced portability with the durability to withstand tough applications in harsh conditions.

Aluminum is not only lighter, but also inherently less corrosive than steel, which makes it a great material for use in many caustic environments. A carrying handle provided as standard also enhances portability.

Inside the cylinder is a high-strength return spring for plunger retraction and stop rings for blow out protection. The cylinder exterior is finished with an anodized hard coat to extend cylinder life, and a wiper protects the inner cylinder assembly from dirt, moisture, and other contaminants.

  • For general purpose applications
  • Approximately half the weight of steel cylinders
  • Heavy duty spring delivers fast and full retraction
  • Hard anodized coating reduces wear and corrosion
  • Stop rings prevent piston blow-out
  • Wiper protects inner cylinder from dirt.
  • Meets ANSI/ASME B30.1 Safety Standards
  • Load tested under 125% of the nominal capacity
  • For working pressures up to 10,000 psi (700 bar)
